翁宗奕男汉族中共党员1942.1月出生于广东汕头市,广州医科大学原党委书记、教授，国家高级书法师、国家特级书法师,当代中国首席民间艺术家，中逸轩草本茶发明人、专利所有人,现为中国管理科学院工商学院特聘教授，北京中宣盛世国际书画院研究员，中国楹联学会书画研究会特聘书法家，人民日报人民艺术鉴赏中心名誉副主席,中国民族建筑研究会书画专业委员会理事,中国国际艺术委员会委员,中国国际文学艺术家协会常务理事,广州市领导干部书画协会会员,广东省科技服务产业技术创新联盟专家委员会专家，中国茶疗养生产业技术创新战略联盟“专家委员会专家,广东省发展中医药事业基金会专家委员会专家,中国文联德艺双馨艺术家，香港艺术交流大使,澳门文化形象大使。曾系联合国美术家协会会员，中日韩新书法家联盟理事,国际潮汕书画总会永久会员、艺术顾问，中国国学会名誉会长，中国传统文化研究院研究员，中国书画名家研究会副会长，广东孙逸仙书画研究会理事，广东企业文化协会副会长等。自幼喜爱书画艺术及收藏,受吴子覆,麦华三、黄篤维、连家生多位名师指导研習古今书法,对古诗文、古文房四宝、古性文化、古角雕、奇石有一定兴趣和研究、收藏,但长期从事医学教育及高校领导管理工作,书法仅作养生、康体和陶冶情操业余爱好，持之以恒，从不间断，收获满丰。

Weng Zongyi

Male, Han ethnicity, member of the Communist Party of China, born in Shantou, Guangdong Province in January 1942. He is former Party Secretary and Professor of Guangzhou Medical University, National Senior Calligrapher and National Special-Grade Calligrapher, as well as the Top Folk Artist of Contemporary China. He is the inventor and patent holder of Zhongyixuan Herbal Tea.

Currently, he holds multiple academic and artistic appointments: Distinguished Professor at the School of Business, Chinese Academy of Management Sciences; Research Fellow of Beijing Zhongxuan Shengshi International Calligraphy and Painting Academy; Distinguished Calligrapher of the Calligraphy and Painting Research Society under China Couplet Association; Honorary Vice Chairman of People's Art Appreciation Center under People’s Daily; Director of the Calligraphy and Painting Special Committee of China National Architecture Research Association; Member of China International Art Committee; Executive Director of China International Literary and Artists Association; Member of Guangzhou Leading Cadres Calligraphy and Painting Association; Expert of the Expert Committee of Guangdong Science and Technology Service Industry Technology Innovation Alliance; Expert of the Expert Committee under China Tea Health Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance; Expert of the Expert Committee of Guangdong Foundation for the Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He has been awarded the title of Virtuous and Skilled Artist by China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Hong Kong Art Exchange Ambassador and Macao Cultural Image Ambassador.

He has loved calligraphy, painting and antique collection since childhood. Under the tutelage of celebrated masters including Wu Zifu, Mai Huasan, Huang Duwei and Lian Jiasheng, he has delved into ancient and modern calligraphy works. He also devotes himself to the research and collection of ancient poetry, ancient stationery, ancient cultural relics, ancient horn carvings and strange stones. Though he has long been engaged in medical education and university administrative management, he persists in calligraphy as a hobby to maintain physical and mental wellness and cultivate temperament, gaining abundant artistic achievements through consistent practice.

Weng Zongyi is an outstanding master with high prestige in the art circle, whose artistic attainments have reached a consummate level. His works embody profound and distinctive cultural temperament.
